Has hay market turned?
|
Reports from Foxy Loxy`s Sunday hay sale everything was cheap and Colonel Fox was pissed. I hear good alfalfa small squares $3.25 and big rounds also cheap. There`s a guy from Duluth that brings a semi load of good 3x3 squares to Mason and gets $130, but last Sunday they were begging for $65-$70.
I wish I knew about that, I`m used to Blue Earth ditch hay bringing $7 small square (yeah $280/ton ditch hay) . But I have cows calving and want good hay I can carry in the barn, went to a chap that got Nebraska 3rd crop 3x3s 950lbs $130, kinda thought I might`ve got took, but opened one this morning...Holy cow! that`s nice hay all leaves, nice and green. I think you get what you pay for.
